Wilmington, IL – Taco Bell KFC Fire Closes Restaurant For Time Thursday Morning

Diamond, IL – A swift response from multiple fire departments subdued a small fire within the walls of a local fast-food restaurant on East Division Street. 

According to what Wilmington firefighters began around 10 AM when emergency services were dispatched to the scene where smoke was seen emanating from just inside the establishment’s entrance. 

No injuries were reported as teams from Wilmington Fire Protection District, along with Coal City, Braidwood, Elwood, East Joliet, and Manhattan Fire Protection Districts, worked to extinguish the flames. The restaurant briefly closed as a precautionary measure while awaiting a health department evaluation.
