Lake County, IL – In an effort to combat the rising theft of catalytic converters, Lake County Sheriff’s Office, in partnership with AAA The Auto Club Group, is hosting a unique theft prevention event on April 27th.

This proactive initiative aims to curtail these incidents by offering free catalytic converter theft protection labels that can be etched onto the converters for easy identification if stolen. The event will take place at AAA Vernon Hills Car Care Plus, with a qualified technician on site to install the labels.

Community members are encouraged to book an appointment for this complimentary service, which aims to safeguard their vehicles against catalytic converter thefts that have been increasingly troubling the region.
