Chicago, IL – Chicagoans will experience a classic spring week, with a mix of sun and showers predicted by the National Weather Service.

Residents should prepare for fluctuating temperatures and occasional thunderstorms that will sweep through the area from tonight until Friday. The forecast promises a wet lead into May, adhering to the old adage that April’s showers lay the groundwork for May’s bloom.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday will start with morning showers and possible thunderstorms, with highs reaching into the low 70s. A sunny break is expected Tuesday, followed by more storms midweek.

Temperatures will peak on Thursday with highs potentially surpassing 80 degrees, cooler by the lake. As the work week concludes, temperatures will dip again into the low 70s, with thunderstorms likely.
