Zion, IL – Local firefighters in Zion, Illinois, swiftly subdued a fire that originated in the basement closet of the Trinity Christian Center.

The incident occurred on April 17, 2024, and the quick action of the Zion Fire & Rescue Department ensured that the fire remained confined to its point of origin. No injuries were reported, thanks to the rapid response initiated at 20:05 and concluded by 22:50.

While the church’s internal sprinkler system played a crucial role in controlling the fire, the cause remains under investigation by the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
