Lake County, IL – Residents in Lake County are gearing up for the DEA National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, aiming to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths. 

Next Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center encourages community members to responsibly dispose of unused or expired medication. The event underscores a crucial public health and safety issue, as disposing of medications properly can significantly reduce the risks associated with accidental poisoning, misuse, and overdose.
