Urbana, IL – University of Illinois Reports Attempted Sexual Assault at Fraternity House on Tuesday Afternoon

Urbana, IL – The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign issued a campus safety notice after an attempted sexual assault was reported to have taken place at a fraternity house around midnight on Saturday, April 13. 

The incident was reported to University Police on Tuesday afternoon by a Campus Security Authority, though the name of the fraternity involved has not been disclosed.

The university is emphasizing the importance of community vigilance and proactive involvement in sexual assault prevention. The notice highlights the necessity of understanding and practicing enthusiastic consent and the available support for survivors.
