Riverton, WY – A winter weather advisory remains in effect across multiple regions of Wyoming, with snowfall continuing to impact travel conditions. The advisory affects South Lincoln County, the Upper Green River Basin, Yellowstone National Park, and the Wind River Mountains.

According to the National Weather Service in Riverton, snowfall is expected to continue in South Lincoln County and the Upper Green River Basin until 8 a.m. Friday, with an additional 1 to 2 inches of accumulation. In the Wind River Mountains, snowfall of 2 to 4 inches is forecast through 11 a.m. Friday, with South Pass experiencing reduced visibility due to gusty winds.

Yellowstone National Park faces the most significant impact, with snowfall expected to persist until 11 a.m. Saturday. Northern areas of the park could see 4 to 7 inches, while the southern portions, including Pitchstone Plateau, may accumulate 1 to 3 feet. Travel in the backcountry is expected to be hazardous.
