Cheyenne, WY – Snowfall continues across southeast Wyoming today, with up to six inches expected in mountainous areas. Localized totals may reach three inches in lower elevations, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Drivers on I-25 should prepare for slick conditions and reduced visibility this morning into the afternoon.

The weather will shift starting Monday, bringing a string of sunny days and warming temperatures. Highs will climb into the low 40s east of I-25, with calm winds making for more comfortable conditions. Monday and Tuesday will both feature clear skies, providing an ideal window for outdoor activities and improved travel conditions.

NWS forecasts partly cloudy skies by Thursday, with a 10-15% chance of snow returning late in the evening. The week’s warmest day will be Friday, with highs reaching near 44 degrees before another chance of light snow. Morning lows will remain chilly, dipping to single digits tonight before warming to the teens later in the week.

Residents are urged to clear snow promptly today to avoid icy buildup during overnight freezes. If traveling, especially near mountain passes, exercise caution and monitor road conditions closely.

This week’s calmer weather provides an opportunity to enjoy clear skies and milder temperatures, making it a welcome break from today’s wintery conditions.
