Cheyenne, WY – A strong cold front will sweep through southeast Wyoming today, bringing scattered flurries, sharp temperature drops, and freezing lows across much of the region, according to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne.

As of early Monday, October 27, 2025, isolated showers and light snow were expected, mainly west of the Laramie Range. Forecasters say temperatures will fall dramatically as the front moves through this afternoon and evening, with Tuesday highs struggling to reach the 40s in many areas.

The coldest air of the season so far will arrive by Wednesday morning, when low temperatures plunge into the single digits and low 20s across valleys and plains. Winds behind the front will make conditions feel even colder, with brisk northwest gusts expected through Tuesday.

After the front passes, skies will gradually clear, bringing a cold but calm midweek before temperatures begin to moderate slightly by Thursday.

Residents are advised to prepare for freezing conditions, protect outdoor plumbing, and use caution on mountain roads where slick spots may develop overnight.
