Cheyenne, WY – Snowfall is set to move into southeastern Wyoming tonight, bringing frigid temperatures and hazardous driving conditions across the region. The National Weather Service forecasts a 70% chance of snow overnight, with areas like Cheyenne and Laramie likely to see accumulations of two inches or more.

According to the National Weather Service in Cheyenne, the snow will intensify after 5 a.m. Sunday and persist through the late morning. Wind chill values are expected to plunge between -5 and -10 degrees, with winds from the north at 10 to 15 mph. Drivers along I-80 should anticipate slick roads and reduced visibility, especially during early morning hours. Residents are advised to limit travel if possible and dress in layers to protect against frostbite.

Looking ahead, conditions will improve Sunday afternoon as snow tapers off. Highs will climb to 28 degrees under mostly sunny skies, though wind chills will remain near zero. By Monday, temperatures are forecast to reach the low 40s, providing some relief from the bitter cold.

The five-day forecast suggests mostly clear and sunny skies from Monday through midweek, with daytime highs hovering in the low 40s. Overnight lows, however, will remain cold, dipping into the teens.

Residents should stay updated on road conditions and weather advisories, especially as the snow begins to fall. Check WYDOT updates for current travel information and stay prepared for changing conditions throughout the weekend.
