Cody, WY – An Air Quality Alert is in effect until 1 p.m. Tuesday for much of central and northern Wyoming due to wildfire smoke from the Pack Trail and Elk Fires. The affected areas include Cody, Thermopolis, Riverton, Buffalo, and Casper, where smoke is causing reduced visibility and poor air quality.

The Wyoming Department of Health advises the elderly, young children, and those with respiratory conditions to minimize outdoor activities and avoid physical exertion during this period. All residents are encouraged to avoid prolonged exposure to the smoke.
