Ann Arbor, MI — A semi-truck fire disrupted traffic Friday afternoon on westbound I-94 near M-14 in Scio Township. Firefighters from Scio Township, Ann Arbor, and Dexter responded to the scene, where the truck, hauling wood and tile flooring, was fully engulfed in flames.

According to the Scio Township Fire Department, the fire caused the closure of the highway for about 45 minutes as crews worked to control the blaze. No hazardous materials were involved, and firefighters extinguished the fire safely. The truck’s trailer was also involved, but no injuries were reported.

One lane reopened soon after to ease traffic congestion. Tow crews cleared the remains of the truck from the road. Fire officials have not yet determined the cause of the fire, but traffic delays in the area continued for some time following the incident.
