Green Bay, WI – Snowfall continues across northeastern Wisconsin, bringing hazardous travel conditions to several counties, including Brown, Outagamie, Manitowoc, and Door.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 p.m. Saturday for most areas, while Manitowoc and Kewaunee counties will see snow through 6 a.m. Sunday. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected in counties like Brown, Outagamie, and Shawano, while lake-enhanced snowfall near Manitowoc could total 3 to 5 inches by Sunday morning.
Residents should expect snow-covered, slippery roads and reduced visibility to half a mile or less at times. Motorists are advised to slow down and exercise caution when traveling. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation urges drivers to check road conditions by calling 511 before heading out.
The snowfall is expected to diminish by late Saturday afternoon in most areas, but Manitowoc and Kewaunee counties will continue to see lake-enhanced snow overnight. This winter weather comes as Wisconsin experiences a colder-than-average February, adding strain to travel and daily routines across the state.
