Green Bay, WI – Storms and soaking rain are on the way for Northeast Wisconsin, with travel and Easter weekend plans at risk. Green Bay and surrounding areas will begin to see impacts by Thursday afternoon, with widespread rain and possible thunderstorms lasting through Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, Thursday will start with increasing clouds and a high near 56°F. Showers are likely by late afternoon, with south winds reaching 17 mph and gusts as high as 28 mph. Rain becomes heavier Thursday night, with a 100% chance of precipitation and embedded thunderstorms.

Friday remains unsettled. Showers and possible thunderstorms could linger throughout the day. Highs will climb to 64°F, but wind gusts and slick roads may cause delays, especially for drivers along US-41 and I-43. Showers may taper briefly by Friday night.

Saturday will bring a short break with partly sunny skies and a high of 53°F, ideal for early Easter activities. However, by Sunday, rain returns. Showers are likely after 1 a.m. and continue through Easter morning, with temperatures near 51°F during the day.
