Green Bay, WI – A winter storm is set to bring hazardous travel conditions across Wisconsin late Saturday night into Sunday.

The National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts 2 to 4 inches of snow for much of the region, with locally higher amounts exceeding 5 inches in Door County due to lake enhancement. This snowfall will make roads, including I-43 and Highway 41, slippery and reduce visibility throughout Sunday. Hazardous travel is likely, and residents are urged to plan accordingly.

According to the NWS, snowfall is expected to begin late Saturday night, intensifying into Sunday morning. Peak accumulation is projected between 6 a.m. and noon Sunday. Temperatures will hover in the low 30s during the storm, with wind chills dropping into the teens.

Monday brings colder air, with highs barely reaching 18°F and lows near 0°F. Wind chills could plummet to 20°F below zero in central and northern Wisconsin, creating dangerous conditions for those spending extended time outdoors.

For the remainder of Friday and Saturday, Green Bay residents can expect mostly cloudy skies and occasional light snow flurries, though little accumulation is expected. Saturday’s high will be 28°F, with calm conditions preceding the storm.

The five-day forecast indicates clearer skies by midweek, but frigid temperatures will persist, with highs struggling to surpass 14°F on Tuesday.
