Green Bay, Wis. – Seasonable weather settles over northeast Wisconsin today, but residents should prepare for a return of thunderstorms starting Tuesday. A few light showers this morning may cause slick roads before clearing gives way to mild sunshine and lower humidity.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, Sunday highs will range from 73 to 82 degrees as clouds decrease throughout the day. Monday is expected to be partly cloudy with highs between 74 and 80. Storm chances increase sharply Tuesday, with a 40% to 60% chance of thunderstorms and temperatures again in the low 80s.

Localized showers could impact the Tuesday evening commute in Green Bay, Appleton, and Wausau, while Wednesday and Thursday will bring a continued, though lower, risk of afternoon storms. Wednesday’s highs may climb to 83, with Thursday peaking at 85 degrees.

Drivers are advised to watch for sudden downpours during peak storm windows, especially in areas with poor drainage. Residents should charge devices and prepare for brief power outages during potential storms midweek.

Isolated storms may linger through Thursday, but most of the week will feel typically summerlike for early July. Additional advisories could be issued as Tuesday approaches.
