La Crosse, WI – Travelers and residents along I-90 can expect partly to mostly cloudy skies, seasonal temperatures, and occasional flurries through Wednesday. With Thanksgiving travel picking up, drivers are urged to remain cautious as wind gusts and light snow could impact visibility in some areas.
According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday’s highs will reach the mid-30s before dropping to the mid-20s overnight. Wednesday will bring partly sunny skies with temperatures ranging from the teens at night to highs near 39 degrees during the day. Northwest winds could reach speeds of up to 10 mph, making it feel even colder.
By Thanksgiving, the forecast predicts highs near 29 degrees with cloudy skies and brisk winds. Gusts along I-90 and surrounding roadways may reach up to 18 mph, adding a chill to the air for those heading out early for holiday festivities. Nighttime lows will dip into the teens, so outdoor gatherings should be planned accordingly.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Friday and Saturday will bring highs in the low 20s to mid-30s with clearer skies. However, overnight lows could fall into the single digits, especially in rural areas. Sunday remains partly sunny, with temperatures creeping into the mid-20s.
Drivers traveling for the holiday should pack warm clothing, monitor conditions, and check for updates on local roadways. Light snow and gusty winds may create slick patches on bridges and overpasses, particularly along I-90 and I-94.
