Green Bay, WI – A mix of rain, snow, and freezing temperatures will impact Green Bay this week, bringing hazardous travel conditions and shifting temperatures. Monday starts sunny, but snow and freezing rain could develop by nightfall.
According to the National Weather Service, Monday’s high will reach 43°F, with southwest winds up to 24 mph. By Monday night, temperatures drop to 32°F, bringing a 40% chance of rain before midnight. A brief warm-up follows Tuesday, with partly sunny skies and a high of 42°F, before another round of clouds moves in Tuesday night.
Wednesday brings another chance of rain before temperatures dip again. Highs will reach 41°F, with showers possible early in the day. Mostly cloudy skies continue into Wednesday night, with a low near 30°F. The back half of the week will remain cool, with highs near 40°F on Thursday and Friday. A chance of snow returns Friday night, making for a potentially slick start to the weekend.
Drivers should stay alert for changing road conditions, especially during the overnight hours when freezing rain could create ice hazards. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation advises caution on major routes, including I-41 and Highway 172.
