Green Bay, WI – A cold weather advisory remains in effect for portions of Wisconsin, including Green Bay, as arctic air settles across the region. Wind chill values are forecasted to plunge to between -25°F and -35°F, creating life-threatening conditions for unprotected skin.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Green Bay, the advisory lasts through 9 p.m. Monday. The most dangerous conditions are expected overnight, between midnight and 6 a.m., with wind chill values potentially dropping below -35°F.

The NWS warns of frostbite occurring within 10 minutes on exposed skin and a heightened risk of hypothermia. Residents are urged to limit outdoor activities, ensure pets have adequate shelter, and check on vulnerable neighbors.

Temperatures during the day will remain frigid, with highs near 7°F and overnight lows dipping to -8°F. Winds between 10-20 mph will exacerbate the cold.

An extreme cold warning is likely to follow this advisory into Tuesday morning. Officials advise wearing insulated clothing, gloves, and hats and avoiding extended outdoor exposure.
