Green Bay, Wis. – Parts of central Wisconsin could see brief thunderstorms and steady rainfall Wednesday, with rain chances peaking between 1 and 6 p.m. in cities like Oshkosh, Wautoma, and Stevens Point.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, the highest rain probabilities—up to 75%—will target the Fox Valley and central counties this afternoon. Thunder chances will remain low overall but could reach 20–30% in areas such as Marshfield, Waupaca, and Wisconsin Rapids during peak hours. Storms are expected to be weak and short-lived, with no severe weather anticipated.

Residents in Appleton, Green Bay, and Manitowoc should also expect light to moderate showers by mid-afternoon, potentially affecting evening commutes. Roads may become slick during downpours, especially on highways like I-41 and US-10. While no major flooding is forecast, drivers should slow down on wet roads and allow extra time for travel.

Rain is expected to taper off overnight, but intermittent showers and storm chances may return heading into the weekend. Updates from NWS Green Bay will follow if stronger systems develop.
