Green Bay, WI – Strong winds continue to impact central and eastern Wisconsin, with gusts reaching up to 50 mph Thursday afternoon and evening.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, a Wind Advisory remains in effect until 9 PM CST for multiple counties, including Brown, Outagamie, Winnebago, and Marathon. Sustained west winds of 20 to 30 mph with occasional stronger gusts are expected, particularly in east-central Wisconsin.
The advisory warns that unsecured objects may be blown around, and tree limbs could fall, leading to isolated power outages. Visibility may also be reduced in areas with blowing and drifting snow.
Drivers, particularly those in high-profile vehicles, should use extra caution due to the risk of sudden gusts impacting vehicle control.
Residents are advised to secure loose outdoor items and prepare for potential brief power outages. Those traveling should allow extra time and stay updated on road conditions.
