Green Bay, WI – Wisconsin drivers along I-43 should prepare for changing road conditions Wednesday evening as a rain and snow mix moves into Green Bay.

According to the National Weather Service, a 40% chance of rain showers begins Wednesday afternoon, transitioning to a rain/snow mix by evening. Temperatures will peak near 47°F before dipping to 35°F Wednesday night. Winds will shift from southeast to northeast after midnight, increasing the chill factor for anyone traveling late.

Motorists should be cautious, especially along the I-43 corridor, as temperatures fall near freezing. Bridges and overpasses may become slick. Residents should monitor updates from the NWS and allow extra time for evening commutes. While no winter advisory is in effect yet, conditions may evolve as the system progresses.

Tuesday night will remain mostly clear with lows near 28°F. Clouds will build Tuesday afternoon, setting the stage for Wednesday’s spring weather event. Thursday will bring a break from precipitation but stay cloudy with highs around 46°F.

Looking ahead, Friday and Saturday are expected to be sunny with highs reaching 52°F and 59°F, respectively. Nights will remain cool, with lows in the lower 30s. Sunday continues the warming trend with highs near 62°F before a 20% chance of showers moves in late Sunday night into Monday.

Stay weather-aware this week and dress in layers as spring conditions continue to shift across northeastern Wisconsin.
