Green Bay, WI – Freezing drizzle and light snow could create hazardous travel conditions in Wisconsin starting late Tuesday night and continuing through Friday. Drivers on major roadways, including I-41 and I-43, should prepare for icy patches, especially during morning and evening commutes.

According to the National Weather Service, a mix of rain and snow is expected after 1 a.m. Wednesday, with temperatures hovering near freezing. By Wednesday morning, rain and snow will likely make roads and sidewalks slick. A 60% chance of snow continues through Friday night, with minor accumulations possible across northern Wisconsin.

Above-normal temperatures will persist through the week, potentially causing river ice to break up and increasing the risk of ice jams. Thursday and Friday will be mostly cloudy, with highs in the low to mid-40s. Another chance of snow arrives Friday night, followed by colder temperatures over the weekend.

Residents should use caution on bridges and overpasses, which may freeze faster than regular roads. Pedestrians should also watch for icy sidewalks, especially in shaded areas.

A clearer weekend is ahead, with partly sunny skies Saturday and Sunday, though overnight lows will dip into the teens. Stay updated with local forecasts and road conditions before heading out.
