Green Bay, Wisconsin – Spring storms will sweep into Green Bay starting Tuesday, bringing strong winds, scattered showers, and cooler temperatures that could affect travel across northeastern Wisconsin.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, Tuesday’s rain chances increase after 10 a.m., with gusty southwest winds up to 31 mph possible through the afternoon. Showers are likely to impact key corridors such as I-41 and Highway 172, creating slick spots during midday and evening commutes.

Rainfall amounts on Tuesday should remain under a quarter inch, but stronger gusts could lead to minor debris on roads. After a mostly clear Tuesday night, Wednesday brings a brief reprieve with mostly sunny skies before another round of rain arrives by Wednesday night. A 60% chance of showers could again affect the evening drive and any outdoor midweek plans.

Thursday will be the wettest day of the week with a 70% chance of showers, and cooler highs barely reaching 55°F. Winds will remain breezy, though slightly calmer compared to earlier in the week.

Heading into Friday, a 40% chance of morning showers persists before partly sunny conditions return by the afternoon. High temperatures will stay mild, reaching the mid-50s, perfect for outdoor activities once any early rain moves out.

Residents are urged to stay weather-aware, especially Tuesday and Thursday when rain and gusty conditions are most likely. Drivers should slow down during wet periods, avoid flooded roadways, and secure outdoor items that could become airborne.

Spring weather hazards can shift quickly, so stay tuned to local updates. Weather alerts could extend into the weekend if conditions worsen.

The next scheduled weather briefing will be issued Wednesday morning.
