Green Bay, Wis. – Drivers and commuters across north-central Wisconsin should expect light rain and drizzle by Friday evening as a lingering system brings continued wet conditions to the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, scattered rain showers will develop throughout the day, with the highest chance of precipitation in north-central counties like Marathon, Lincoln, and Langlade. Light drizzle may expand across eastern and southern parts of the state by late afternoon. High temperatures will hover between 43° and 53°, with breezy conditions adding to the damp chill, especially near Lake Michigan.

Roads could become slick during the evening commute, especially on rural highways and bridges. Residents are advised to use headlights and reduce speed when driving in reduced visibility. While no flooding is expected, those in low-lying areas should still monitor for ponding on roadways.

Conditions begin to improve Saturday as cloud cover decreases and temperatures rise into the 50s and low 60s. Sunday looks even milder, with highs nearing 70° in southern and eastern Wisconsin—though lakeshore areas may stay slightly cooler.

Showers taper off overnight, and no additional advisories are expected this weekend. A warming trend will continue into early next week.
