La Crosse, WI – Dense fog is expected to develop overnight in and west of the Mississippi River, affecting the La Crosse area and far southwest Wisconsin. The National Weather Service has issued a fog alert, warning that visibility may drop to a quarter mile or less in some spots. The fog is anticipated to be most dense for a few hours around sunrise.

According to the National Weather Service, conditions are expected to improve between 7-9 a.m. Residents are advised to use low beam headlights, slow down, and maintain extra distance between vehicles to ensure safe travel.

In addition to the fog advisory, the weekly weather forecast for La Crosse shows a mix of conditions. Today will be mostly cloudy with a high of 80°F and a 45% chance of rain. Monday brings a 30% chance of showers with temperatures ranging from 64°F to 81°F. On Tuesday, expect a 60% chance of rain, with a high of 79°F.

The midweek forecast looks more promising, with partly cloudy skies on Wednesday and a high of 78°F. By Thursday, the skies will clear, offering sunny weather and a high of 80°F. Friday continues the trend with clear skies and temperatures reaching 82°F.
