Necedah, WI – A flood warning continues for the Yellow River at Necedah, impacting Juneau County. The river is currently experiencing minor flooding and is expected to stay above flood stage until Sunday morning.
According to the National Weather Service, the river’s stage reached 15.2 feet by 5:00 PM CDT on Friday. Flood stage is set at 15.0 feet, and the river is expected to remain above this threshold until Saturday afternoon, gradually decreasing to 11.5 feet by April 11.
The NWS advises residents to avoid driving on flooded roads. “Turn around, don’t drown,” they warn, as most flood-related fatalities occur in vehicles.
