La Crosse, WI – Frigid temperatures continue across Wisconsin, with wind chills as low as -40°F expected through midweek. A Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect for La Crosse and surrounding counties until 10 a.m. Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), dangerously cold conditions will persist, with wind chills between -20°F and -30°F overnight into Wednesday morning. By Thursday, temperatures will rise slightly, but bitter cold remains a concern.

• Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, high near 7°F, wind chills as low as -21°F.
• Thursday: Sunny, high of 18°F, northwest winds 3-6 mph.
• Friday: Sunny, high near 20°F, warming trend begins.
• Saturday: Mostly sunny, high of 30°F, southwest winds 3-6 mph.
• Sunday: Partly cloudy, high near 41°F, significant warming expected.
Residents should limit outdoor exposure and wear insulated layers, gloves, and hats to prevent frostbite. Warmer weather is on the way, but subzero wind chills remain a concern through Thursday morning.
