Hurley, WI – Northern Wisconsin remains under a winter weather advisory until 6 a.m. Saturday, with lake-effect snow forecasted to bring up to 8 inches of accumulation in Iron County.
The National Weather Service reports hazardous travel conditions, particularly along Highway 2 and local routes near the Lac du Flambeau tribal lands. Rapidly changing visibility and drifting snow are making roadways treacherous for Black Friday shoppers and holiday travelers.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down, plan ahead, and check Wisconsin’s 511 service for updates on road conditions. Snowfall is expected to diminish by Saturday morning.
