Western Greenbrier County, WV – A winter weather advisory remains in effect through early Thursday, bringing snow and hazardous winds.

The National Weather Service predicts between 2 and 4 inches of snow, with some areas experiencing higher amounts. Gusts may reach 50 mph, creating dangerous travel conditions and potential power outages. Residents should expect slippery roads and icy surfaces. These conditions could disrupt both morning and evening commutes on Wednesday.

According to the advisory, drivers should reduce speed, use caution, and check updated road conditions by dialing 511. Pedestrians are also urged to take care on icy stairs and sidewalks to avoid falls or injuries.

The advisory will expire at 4 a.m. Thursday, but lingering snow and ice may still affect travel. Local officials recommend stocking up on essentials and avoiding unnecessary travel until conditions improve.
