Denver, CO – Snowfall is expected to continue across Colorado overnight, creating hazardous travel conditions along the I-25 corridor and nearby mountain passes. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 2 p.m. Wednesday, with additional snowfall expected to add to already accumulating totals.
According to the National Weather Service, areas such as Loveland Pass and Rabbit Ears Pass reported totals of up to 17 inches by Tuesday night. Meanwhile, Denver itself could see 1–3 inches of additional accumulation before snow tapers off by Wednesday afternoon. Road conditions on I-25 and I-70 will likely be slippery, especially during early morning commutes. Travelers are advised to allow extra time and use caution while driving.
Temperatures are forecasted to dip into the low 30s overnight, further complicating roadways with potential ice. Thanksgiving Day, however, promises relief for Coloradans as sunshine returns, with highs in Denver expected to reach the upper 30s.
Looking ahead, the weather is expected to remain calm through the weekend, with sunny skies and highs climbing into the mid-40s. Despite improving conditions, drivers heading into the mountains for holiday celebrations should monitor updates, as snowpack may still impact roadways.
Stay tuned to local weather updates and consider postponing travel plans if conditions worsen overnight.
