Philadelphia, PA – A week of intense winter weather is ahead, starting with high winds Monday and ending with a potential snowstorm midweek.
A High Wind Warning is in effect Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with gusts up to 60 mph. These winds will usher in Arctic air, dropping wind chills into the teens by Monday night. The cold will persist, with highs struggling to reach the low 30s all week.
By Wednesday night into Thursday, models suggest a 60% chance of accumulating snow. With temperatures in the low 30s, roads could become slick.
Prepare for damaging winds, power outages, and icy roads by securing loose items, charging devices, and limiting travel when conditions worsen.
