Pocatello, ID – A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for parts of central and eastern Idaho, including the Sun Valley Region, Sawtooth/Stanley Basin, and Lost River Valley. The watch will be in effect from late Friday night through late Saturday night, with heavy snow expected.
The National Weather Service forecasts snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches in valley areas and 5 to 10 inches in elevations above 6,000 feet. Affected communities include Ketchum, Stanley, Mackay, and Hailey.
Road conditions may become very difficult to impossible during the storm, particularly in higher elevations. Residents are advised to monitor weather updates and prepare for hazardous travel conditions.
