Salt Lake City, UT – A winter weather advisory has been issued for multiple regions in Utah, with heavy snow expected from Friday evening through Sunday. The National Weather Service warns of hazardous travel conditions as wet snow accumulates across the Wasatch Back, Book Cliffs, and Bear River Valley.
According to the National Weather Service, snowfall will begin Friday at 8 p.m. in the Wasatch Back, impacting cities like Park City, Heber City, and Huntsville. Accumulations are expected to range from 2 to 7 inches, with isolated areas in Eden and Liberty potentially seeing up to 12 inches. Snow is expected to mix with rain late Saturday, and there is a slight chance of freezing rain in the morning.
In the Wasatch Plateau and Book Cliffs region, snowfall will begin early Saturday morning, with totals reaching 6 to 12 inches by Sunday evening. Meanwhile, Bear Lake and Bear River Valley will see 3 to 6 inches of snow, with occasional rain mixing in by Sunday afternoon.
