According to the National Weather Service, affected areas in southern New Jersey and southeastern Pennsylvania can anticipate total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches. Meanwhile, central and southern Delaware could see between 6 and 12 inches, with some ice accumulations likely.
Snowfall began overnight and is expected to intensify through Monday morning, potentially falling at rates exceeding 1 inch per hour. Conditions may lighten Monday afternoon but will persist into the evening, tapering off early Tuesday.
Travelers should prepare for treacherous roads during both the Monday morning and evening commutes. Officials recommend carrying an emergency kit, including a flashlight, food, and water, for those who must drive.
