Philadelphia, PA – A winter storm warning remains in effect along the Interstate 95 corridor, with 4 to 6 inches of snow expected to accumulate by early Monday morning.

According to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, precipitation will begin as a mix of light rain, snow, and sleet late this morning before shifting to heavy snow in the afternoon. Snowfall rates could reach 1 inch per hour, especially near I-95, significantly reducing visibility. Blowing snow and rapidly dropping temperatures will create icy and hazardous road conditions.

The warning affects Delaware, Eastern Montgomery, Lower Bucks, and Philadelphia Counties. Temperatures are forecast to fall below freezing tonight and remain cold for several days, prolonging icy conditions along major routes, including I-95.

Drivers along the I-95 corridor are urged to avoid travel if possible. If travel is necessary, keep emergency supplies such as flashlights, food, and water in your vehicle. Road conditions can be checked by dialing 511.

Travelers are advised to plan ahead, monitor local updates, and exercise extreme caution as the storm impacts the region.
