Quinwood, WV – A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for Western Greenbrier County through 7 p.m. Saturday, with heavy snowfall and strong winds expected to impact the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Blacksburg, VA, snowfall totals between 4 and 10 inches are anticipated, with isolated areas potentially seeing up to 15 inches. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph, increasing the risk of power outages and tree damage.

Travel conditions are likely to become hazardous, particularly during Friday and Saturday commutes. Authorities recommend carrying emergency supplies, including a flashlight, food, and water, if travel is necessary.

Residents are urged to monitor road conditions by calling 511 and to take precautions as the storm continues through Saturday evening.
