The Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 10 a.m. Saturday, with an additional 3-6 inches of snow expected. Winds could gust up to 45 mph, creating hazardous travel conditions and the risk of downed branches. A Winter Storm Watch has also been issued from Sunday afternoon through Monday evening, predicting up to 10 inches of snow and potential ice accumulations.
According to the NWS, affected areas include Kingwood, Ligonier, Davis, and nearby communities. Motorists are urged to exercise caution, particularly during the Friday evening and Monday morning commutes. Officials recommend keeping an emergency kit in vehicles, including flashlights, food, and water.
