State College, PA – Warren County is under a Winter Storm Warning until 7 a.m. Saturday as lake effect snow continues to fall across the region. Total snow accumulations are expected to range from 2 to 7 inches, with the heaviest snowfall occurring in northern and western parts of the county.

The National Weather Service (NWS) warns of drifting snow caused by gusty west winds, which may repeatedly cover cleared roads. Hazardous driving conditions are expected to impact both the Friday morning and evening commutes.

Drivers should anticipate rapid changes in visibility and road conditions due to the nature of lake effect snow. Non-essential travel is discouraged until conditions improve Saturday morning.
