Denver, CO – Colorado residents should prepare for two snowstorm systems expected to bring hazardous travel conditions next week.

The National Weather Service in Denver/Boulder reports that the first system will arrive Sunday afternoon. Light snow, with less than six inches in mountain areas and less than two inches in lower elevations, could make roads slippery by Sunday evening. Slick conditions are likely for the Monday morning commute across the urban corridor.

A second, stronger storm system will hit from Tuesday through Wednesday night, with significant snow possible. While exact amounts are uncertain, heavy snow is likely in the mountains and lower elevations. Travel may become challenging, especially in the urban corridor.

The National Weather Service advises residents to monitor forecasts and prepare for travel disruptions leading up to Thanksgiving. Drivers should exercise caution on snow-covered roads and adjust their plans accordingly.
