Seattle, WA – The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued multiple Wind Advisories covering large portions of western and northwestern Washington through Saturday evening, November 1.

The advisories remain in effect until 1 p.m. PDT for the Seattle metro area, Snohomish and Skagit Counties, and the North Cascades foothills, and until 7 p.m. PDT for the Port Townsend and Island County areas.

Forecasters expect south winds 15–25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph, shifting westerly around midday in the northern Puget Sound. According to the NWS, these winds could knock down tree limbs, scatter unsecured objects, and cause isolated power outages, especially near the coast and along higher terrain.

The strongest winds are expected through the late morning and early afternoon, before gradually easing this evening. Drivers of high-profile vehicles should use extra caution, particularly on bridges, coastal routes, and ferries where crosswinds could be hazardous.

Residents are urged to secure outdoor furniture, decorations, and trash bins, and to stay alert for falling debris or temporary power interruptions.
