Billings, MT – The National Weather Service in Billings has issued a Wind Advisory for the Livingston Area and Beartooth Foothills, in effect through 11 a.m. MST Sunday, November 2.
Forecasters expect southwest winds of 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 70 mph, creating hazardous travel conditions, especially along Interstate 90 between Livingston and Big Timber.
According to the NWS, the strongest winds are expected Saturday evening through early Sunday morning, with dangerous crosswinds likely for high-profile vehicles such as trucks and trailers.
Residents should secure outdoor objects, as lightweight items may be blown around or damaged. Drivers are urged to use extra caution, especially in open areas along the Beartooth Foothills and mountain passes.
Winds are expected to gradually diminish by late Sunday morning, though breezy conditions may persist through midday.
