San Francisco, CA – The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for parts of the San Francisco Bay Area, including the East Bay Interior, Eastern Santa Clara Hills, and North Bay Interior Mountains. The advisory will be in effect from 11 p.m. Thursday until 11 p.m. Friday for most areas, and until 8 a.m. Saturday for the North Bay Interior Mountains.
Gusty north winds of 25-35 mph, with gusts up to 50 mph, are expected, which could cause unsecured objects to be blown around, and may result in power outages due to downed tree limbs. These dry, offshore winds also pose an elevated fire risk, and a Red Flag Warning has been issued through 5 p.m. Saturday.
Residents are advised to secure outdoor objects and exercise caution when driving, particularly with high-profile vehicles.
