Eugene, Ore. – Clear skies and building heat will keep much of western Oregon in summer mode through midweek, with Eugene pushing into the low 90s by Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Portland, Labor Day will be mostly sunny with highs near 85 before the heat intensifies Tuesday and Wednesday, reaching around 91 degrees. Overnight lows will hold in the mid- to upper 50s, offering limited relief. Winds remain light, shifting northwest around 6 mph in the afternoons.

The Willamette Valley, including Springfield and Creswell, will see several days of hot, dry weather, raising concerns for outdoor activity and wildfire risk. Calm winds overnight mean stagnant air could also lead to hazy conditions in lower elevations. Residents planning Labor Day travel should stay hydrated and avoid strenuous activity during peak afternoon hours.

Conditions remain stable through at least Thursday, with only a few clouds at night. No rain is expected, and advisories may be issued if wildfire danger increases.
