Pittsburgh, PA – A wintry pattern is returning to Western Pennsylvania this week, with snow likely on Wednesday bringing slippery road conditions. Drivers across the region should prepare for reduced visibility and possible delays during their commute.

According to the National Weather Service, scattered snow showers are expected to begin early Wednesday morning, with a 60% chance of precipitation throughout the day. High winds, with gusts reaching up to 31 mph, may worsen driving conditions. Snow accumulation is currently forecast to remain light, less than an inch, but black ice is still a major concern.

On Monday, skies will clear, offering sunny conditions and highs near 35°F. Tuesday continues the trend with mostly sunny skies before snow returns overnight into Wednesday. The latter half of the week will bring falling temperatures, with nighttime lows dropping to 19°F by Wednesday night and 23°F on Thursday.

Residents are encouraged to stock up on supplies, keep a weather emergency kit in their vehicles, and monitor local updates for potential advisories.

Stay cautious and plan ahead for midweek travel as temperatures continue to dip.
