Buffalo, NY – Snowfall is expected to impact Buffalo and surrounding areas tonight and into Saturday, creating potential travel hazards. Accumulations between 1 and 3 inches are forecast, with up to 4 inches in higher elevations like Chautauqua Ridge and Boston Hills. Drivers should exercise caution as even light snowfall can create slick spots on roadways, especially along Interstate 90 and rural routes.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Buffalo, snow will begin tonight, mainly after 8 p.m., with temperatures dropping to 22 degrees. Light to moderate snow showers are likely to continue into Saturday morning, tapering off by mid-afternoon. Winds of 5–9 mph may lead to localized drifting in exposed areas.

Saturday night is expected to be mostly cloudy with a low of 22, offering a brief break before another chance of snow showers Sunday night into Monday. The next workweek will bring colder temperatures, with highs in the teens and additional snow showers likely through Tuesday.

Residents are advised to monitor updates from the NWS and plan for potential delays during the weekend. Those traveling tonight or Saturday morning should prepare for reduced visibility and slippery conditions.

For those heading outdoors, dress warmly as temperatures will feel colder with wind chills. Stay tuned for further updates as conditions develop.
