Lowville, NY – Residents of Lewis County, including the Tug Hill Plateau, are facing hazardous road conditions this morning as a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon Friday. The area has already seen snow accumulations, with an additional 1 to 2 inches expected.
According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, the highest elevations of the Tug Hill Plateau will see total accumulations reaching 3 to 6 inches. The snow is expected to make roads slippery, impacting the morning commute.
Drivers are urged to slow down and exercise caution. The advisory also warns pedestrians to be careful on icy sidewalks, stairs, and driveways to avoid falls and injuries.
