Paducah, KY – Mild and mostly dry conditions will dominate western Kentucky through Thursday before a cold front brings showers and possible thunderstorms to the area Friday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Paducah.
Forecasters say highs will range from the mid-60s to mid-70s for much of the week, with mostly sunny skies continuing through midweek. Wednesday is expected to be sunny and breezy, followed by another clear and pleasant day Thursday.
The NWS notes that a shift in the weather pattern is expected late Thursday night into Friday as a frontal boundary approaches the region. Rain and a few isolated thunderstorms could develop Friday morning and persist through the afternoon. Temperatures will remain mild ahead of the front, reaching the upper 60s to mid-70s, before gradually cooling into the weekend.
By Saturday, conditions are expected to improve with mostly sunny skies returning and highs around 70 degrees. Forecasters say the system’s timing and rainfall totals are still being monitored but emphasize that no severe weather is currently expected.
Residents are encouraged to stay updated on local forecasts as the weekend approaches.
