Paducah, Ky. – Strong storms could bring damaging winds to western and southern Kentucky on Saturday, with potential impacts from Paducah to Bowling Green as another round of severe weather targets the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, a cluster of storms similar to Friday’s system is expected to move through the area on Saturday, June 7. The primary threat is damaging winds, with storms developing between mid-morning and late afternoon. Timing remains uncertain, complicating travel and outdoor plans across much of the state.

Cities in the enhanced risk zone include Paducah, Murray, Mayfield, and Hopkinsville, where gusts could lead to downed trees and scattered power outages. In central Kentucky, areas like Bowling Green and Russellville may also see strong winds and heavy rain. Motorists should stay alert on I-24, I-69, and U.S. 68, especially during peak storm hours.

Residents are advised to secure loose outdoor items, charge electronic devices, and monitor NOAA Weather Radio or local alerts. This system follows back-to-back days of storm activity across the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys.

Storm chances may persist into the evening. Additional warnings could be issued Saturday morning as the system organizes.
