Charleston, WV – A winter storm continues to bring heavy snowfall and hazardous road conditions across parts of West Virginia, northeast Kentucky, and southwest Virginia, with impacts expected through Thursday evening.

According to the National Weather Service in Charleston, a Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 1 PM for most affected areas, with up to two additional inches of snow expected. However, Southeast Webster County, WV, will see between 3 and 5 inches of snow, with wind gusts up to 35 mph through 10 PM Thursday.

Roads remain slippery and dangerous, particularly for the morning and evening commutes. Drivers are urged to use caution and avoid unnecessary travel. Officials recommend keeping extra food, water, and a flashlight in vehicles in case of emergencies.
